Juan powers Loggers past Rafters

La Crosse, WISCONSIN   A five-run explosion in the first inning hoisted the La Crosse Loggers (33-17) to a 9-1 win over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (22-28) at Copeland Park on Friday.  

Bobby Juan racked up three RBIs on two hits for the La Crosse Loggers.

He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.  

The La Crosse Loggers relied on Alex Gunn to eat up innings en route to the win.

Gunn pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out seven.  

Tommy Organ was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked two and struck out five.
