SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A two vehicle crash Sunday afternoon sends five people to the hospital.
Monroe County Sheriff Peter Quirin states the crash happened at 340pm at the intersection of Highway 33 and County Y in the Town of Portland.
According to the Sheriff's Department, a car driven by Julie J. Meyers, 51, of Bangor, ran a stop sign and collided with a van carrying four people.
Although it is reported he had non-life threatening injuries, the van's driver, 76-year-old Kenneth Mullenberg of Cashton, was taken by MedLink Air to Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse.
His passengers, Rose Mullenberg, 67, Jerome Mullenberg, 56, and Lana Mullenberg, 54, all were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse with non-life threatening injuries.
Meyers went by ambulance to Gundersen Lutheran.
