VIROQUA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Authorities in Vernon County continue to receive tips regarding two inmates who walked away from a correctional facility near Black River Falls last week.
James Newman, 29, and James Misleveck, 18, left the Black River Correctional Center late Tuesday night. Following several incidents in Jackson and Monroe County, the pair were possibly seen in the Hillsboro area in Vernon County. Responding officers didn't turn up the pair or the vehicle, a black 1996 Chrysler Concorde with the license plate 728-TDX.
On Monday evening, a woman in that area called to report a suspicious car. As before, deputies didn't turn up any sign of the escapees.
Anyone who has information on the location of Newman or Misleveck is asked to contact authorities.
