Drought still extreme for southern Wisconsin

MADISON (WXOW) -- The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report is out and it shows much of southern Wisconsin still in the extreme category.

This area has been listed as extreme for the past week, despite several recent rainstorms. The report released Thursday morning does not take into account the rain southern Wisconsin saw late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

The Midwest region of the U.S. Drought Monitor can be found here.
