
La Crosse, WISCONSIN Friday was a great day for Jake Stassi, as Stassi pitched seven shutout innings to carry the La Crosse Loggers (37-17) to a 3-2 victory over the Battle Creek Bombers (19-35) at Copeland Park.
The La Crosse Loggers were sparked by Richard Prigatano and Jimmy Bosco, who teamed up for two hits and three RBIs.
They hit back to back home runs in the 4th inning.
The Battle Creek Bombers scored two runs in the eighth on a two-run double by Colin Willis. Unfortunately, the Battle Creek Bombers weren't able to take the lead back.
Kyle Teague (3-4) was the game's losing pitcher.
He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
