DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- An Iowa campaign aide for former GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is suing the Minnesota congresswoman and a former top staffer, alleging an official stole a private email list and blamed her for its use.
Barb Heki, of Indianola, filed a lawsuit Monday in Polk County District Court accusing state Sen. Kent Sorenson of taking the list from Heki's computer to reach Christian home-school advocates before the Iowa caucuses.
Sorenson was Bachmann's Iowa campaign chairman.
Heki coordinated home-school supporters. Heki claims she was blamed after the emails were sent to members of the Network of Iowa Christian Home-school Advocates and fired from the campaign.
She was later removed from state and national home-school advocacy boards.
Bachmann quit the race on Jan. 4.
Calls to Bachmann and Sorenson weren't immediately returned.
