Search for missing girls continues

It is now day 18 and still no sign of 10-year-old Lyric Cook and 8-year-old Elizabeth Collins.

Tuesday is Elizabeth's 9th birthday and the search for her alleged abductors has continued with no new information coming from law enforcement Monday.

Lyric's father, Dan Morrissey, was in court Friday on domestic abuse charges.

Morrissey also faces several drug charges related to an incident last December.

Morrissey and two others face drug charges related to that incident.

Online court records show one of those people is supposed to go on trial Tuesday in Waterloo.

Chelsea Beahr goes to court Tuesday on drug charges.

She was arrested at the same time as Dan Morrissey and Jason Stolfus.

Stolfus goes on trial next month.

Last week, he didn't show up for a court appearance in a child support case.

It's not clear how the three may or may not have known each other.

When our Colleen O'Shaughnessy spoke with her Friday, the girls' grandmother said Morrissey had given his cell phone contacts to investigators.

Misty Morrissey said, "I told god...You know what Lord? The whole state is looking at you..."

Meantime, Lyric's mother, Misty Morriseey, told people at a concert in Waterloo Saturday evening, the girls fate is in God's hands.

"There's nobody but Jesus we're asking to help us to bring these girls home. Whether you bring them home alive or dead, it's your decision. There's no one we're looking to for glory except for the glory of Jesus Christ. 'Amen'.

Meantime, investigators say they continue to track down leads called to the tip line around the clock.

However, so far there's been no luck.
