La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - La Crosse had a visitor from the Vatican Tuesday.
Cardinal Raymond Burke was in town to help celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Shrine of Our Lady Guadalupe.
Cardinal Burke officiated the 12:15 mass. Technically, the land has been owned for much longer than four years, but they decided that the ultimate goal was the completion of the shrine. So they celebrate the dedication each year.
With only nine employees, much of the upkeep and floral decorations are kept up by volunteers.
If you are interested in visiting the shrine, it is free and open to the public, it is just south of La Crosse off of Highway 14.
