LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff is launching a news series online dealing with the challenges returning military members face.
Those challenges are apparent as soldiers transition back into the workforce.
The series shows veterans paired with some big-name mentors, such as George Lucas of Star Wars fame and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Woodruff profiles the veterans and mentors, with the goal being that those mentors will provide returning vets with a solid start to their careers.
The "Standing Up For Heroes" videos debut every Tuesday on ABCNEWS.com.
Woodruff spoke with WXOW's Pete Zervakis about his new series. Watch the interview in full in the video player above.

Woodruff was wounded in an explosion while reporting for ABC News in Iraq in 2006.
His non-profit, The Bob Woodruff Foundation, helps veterans heal both from the physical and psychological tolls of war.
