FBI returns to Meyers Lake, no positive results

It's been three weeks since cousins Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins were last seen in Evansdale. The two cousins were last seen Friday, July 13th.

Their bikes were found near Meyers Lake, which authorities later drained to try and find evidence.

The FBI says there were investigators back at Meyers Lake on Thursday night and Friday morning, but found no positive results.

In central Iowa, authorities looked into a reported sighting of one of the girls, which turned out to be another person.  According to records, someone saw a female matching the description of one of the girls at a convenience store in Colo.  Jasper County deputies caught up to a car, and determined it was a man and his daughter, and he was taking his daughter to her mother's house.
