LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Friday's win against Green Bay wasn't the most exciting play, a walk actually, but it does count as another win against the Bullfrogs.
Walking home the winning run gave the La Crosse Loggers a .667 winning percentage against Green Bay this season.
The Loggers looked to change that Saturday night at the Lumberyard. And it looked just like that would happen.
With runners at the corners in the 4th, Bobby Juan was on his way to stealing second when the throw from the Bullfrog's catcher goes into center field. The error allowed Matt Chapman to score which gave the Loggers the 1-0 lead.
Next time up for La Crosse, Tyler Kuresa adds to the lead with a shot that just barely clears the right field fence and makes the score 2-0.
Green Bay, down 2-1, wasn't giving up-with a pair of base runners on in the top of the 9th, Billy Moon raps a single up the middle to tie the score.
The Loggers will win just like Friday night, but in a more dramatic fashion. With the bases loaded, Steven Pallares laid down a squeeze bunt that brought home Rich Prigatano to give La Crosse the 3-2 victory.
