Packers' Jennings, Newhouse suffer concussions

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Packers were back at practice Sunday night, although many big name veterans got an extra night off following Friday's Family Night Scrimmage.

Among those out however, left tackle Marshall Newhouse who, along with Greg Jennings, suffered a concussion in the scrimmage.

Second year tackle Herb Taylor is the guy next in line behind Newhouse. He's struggled to find a home in the league until he landed in Green Bay this past December but said having the entire off-season with the Pack definitely helps.

"Getting a whole off-season here, the OTA's, mini-camp, training camp; I'm very comfortable with the offense. You never want to be the weak link on the line or in anything. So my plan is to come in there and make it as seamless as possible," Taylor said.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy hasn't ruled out Jennings or Newhouse for Thursday's preseason game against San Diego. The Packers return to practice again Monday evening.
