
La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW) The La Crosse Loggers (44-20) shut the door early on the Eau Claire Express (23-41), capturing a 13-4 victory on Monday at Copeland Park.
The game was decided quickly as the La Crosse Loggers exerted their will early with 11 runs in the first three innings.
A three-run home run by Central graduate Bobby Juan against his former high school teammate Drew Ghelfi, a two-run single by Brandon Bednar, a ground out by Brenden Farney, an RBI double by Jimmy Bosco, an RBI single by Joe Meggs, and a three-run home run by Richard Prigatano in the first inning helped the La Crosse Loggers put some runs on the board early.Juan racked up three RBIs on three hits for the La Crosse Loggers.
Jesse Holiday improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the La Crosse Loggers. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings.
Holiday struck out two, walked three and gave up six hits.
