Montee Ball counts his blessings

Posted:

MADISON (WXOW) - On Sunday the entire Badger football team meets the press. As the UW football squad held their annual media day at Camp Randall Stadium.

As you can imagine, it was a media circus around badger running back Montee Ball. This is the first time he's spoken to the media since he was attacked by five men on August 1st and left with a concussion.

He said he's ready to put the whole thing behind him and insists on counting his blessings.

"I'm blessed to have walked away from that," Ball said. "Obviously I walked away after the hospital, but I'm honestly not upset anymore. I'm perfectly fine, perfectly content, and honestly ready to forget about it and attack the season. It was completely unprovoked and I had nothing to do with it, so for that to happen, I made sure to address the team and just apologize for the distraction but they all know who I am and what I'm here for."
