LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW)-- The day before election day is always busy for the City Clerk's Office.
In La Crosse Monday, poll workers set up tables, chairs, booths at 17 different locations.
But, La Crosse City Clerk Teri Lehrke said preparations begin many months in advance.
She said they have to keep up with all of the new laws and train all of the workers on them.
"You need to have accurate results. All of our preparation that we do in advance of an election makes for a smooth election day."
