UPDATE: Missing disabled man found

UPDATE: The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says Mikey Leblanc has been found alive and well and returned to his home.

Jackson County (Press Release) - On August 12, 2012 at approximately 10:10 p.m., Sheriff's authorities were called to a private residence located in the area of County Highway C and Pine Creek Road in the Town of Albion in Jackson County to a report of a missing person with disabilities.

In conversation with the reporting citizen deputies learned that a 21-year-old mentally disabled person was missing from his residence. It is believed that the man left the residence on a bicycle earlier and was last seen around the noon hour on August 12, 2012. He has not been seen since.

The missing person is identified as:

 ANTHONY "MICKEY" LEBLANC, Age - 21

This missing person answers to the name MIKEY. MIKEY is further described as approximately 5'7", 225 pounds, black hair, brown eyes.

 Mikey was last seen wearing: blue jean shorts, black T-shirt and white tennis shoes.

Mikey is cognitively disabled and reportedly has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old child.

Mikey may also be suicidal and is believed to have possible left the residence on a girl's mountain bike. The bike is described as being white/orange and silver in color.

Sheriff's authorities have initiated a ground search. Efforts are now focused on K-9 tracking as well as an air search conducted along with the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Sheriff Duane Waldera of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office stated earlier today "We are taking this incident very seriously and have channeled many resources towards finding this young man."

Citizens are encouraged to be on the lookout for Mikey and to report any possible sightings to law enforcement as soon as possible.

There is no definite information at this time as to where this missing person may have been heading. There is no information at this time that this person is armed and or dangerous to others.
