Police investigate sexual assault

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse Police are investigating a sexual assault incident that happened early Sunday.

Authorities say a 23-year-old woman says she was grabbed from behind, pushed to the ground, and assaulted.

La Crosse Police Sergeant Randy Rank says the attack took place near the 3rd and Jay parking ramp about 2:40am.

The woman was able to provide police with a vague description of the suspect.

She described him as a white male, approximately 5'10" or 5'11" with short dark hair and a medium build.

The incident remains under investigation.
