West Salem, WISCONSIN (WXOW) West Salem knows a thing or two about deep post-season runs.
They went on another one last year before losing in level 3 and finishing with an 8-4 record.
Just 6 starters are back from that team which also went 5-1 in the Coulee Conference.
So a lot guys will see their first significant varsity playing time this season.
But the Panthers have a way if regrouping in a hurry.
Don't be surprised if they make another run at a conference title.
"We have a good group of skill players even though we lost a good group of seniors. We go a good group coming back. We just got to perform well with our skill players. That will be a strong area for us," said head coach Wayne Sackett.
"I think our coaches have us prepared week in and week out for the next opponent. They get us in the mindset of what we're going to face. They get us pumped up and ready to go," said senior Kevin Martinson.
The Panthers open the 2012 season at home against Onalaska.
