
Pao Choua Vue
Houaka YangLa Crosse, WI (WXOW)-- A witness who testified against a man in the Sara Hougom murder was beaten in jail.
The witness, Lucas Brickl, testified at a preliminary hearing for Pao Choua Vue that he heard Vue say he committed the crime.
According the criminal complaint, the incident happened in the La Crosse County Jail. Vue's cousin, also named Pao Choua Vue, and Houaka Yang saw Brickl and began hitting him in the head. Brickl suffered cuts and bruises, and had to have two staples put in his head.
Pao Choua Vue is charged with battery by prisoners, a felony. Houaka Yang also faces a felony charge of battery by prisoners as party to a crime.
According to the complaint, the incident was captured on jail surveillance cameras.
The two men are due in court for preliminary hearings next Tuesday.
