August 2012 Jefferson Award Winner Bob Brudos

La Crosse, WI (WXOW)  You may not know him, but it's possible you've seen Bob Brudos volunteering his time around the La Crosse community.

Brudos is the August recipient of the Jefferson Award.  The Jefferson Award is presented to people who make a significant contribution to their community through volunteering.

Brudos does everything from building repairs and improvements to answering the phones at Downtown Mainstreet in La Crosse.  Each week, Brudos and some friends travel to Ferryville and the Sugar Creek Bible Camp where they do whatever is needed.  And, during the school year, Brudos helps first grade students improve their reading skills.  That's only a partial list of his contribution.

If you know someone you believe deserves recognition for their volunteer work, you can nominate them.  Just go to our website, click on "Home" at the top of the page and then Jefferson Award.
