Back in Wis., Ryan prepped for dual campaign

JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) - Paul Ryan's ads have been filmed, his signature green & white signs are ready to be pounded into lawns.

For his congressional campaign, that is.

Ryan will be consumed by his run for vice president on Republican Mitt Romney's ticket, but he was preparing to defend his House seat even if he wouldn't be spending as much time as usual in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin law allows Ryan to seek both offices at once, and many voters don't seem to mind. He usually wins by comfortable margins, but his district tilts Democratic in presidential races.

Four years ago, Joe Biden won re-election to the Senate representing Delaware at the same time he ascended to the vice presidency. He resigned the Senate seat.
