La Crosse, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Area teachers and student teachers are learning how to incorporate technology in the classroom.
It's all part of a two day program called Blended Learning Environment Institute. On Tuesday, teachers learned how to adapt their classrooms to meet students' technological expectations.
For example, using an iPad or iPhone to watch a podcast that teaches a math lesson.
Jean Crayton, a fourth grade teacher at Emerson Elementary School said, "Most kids now have cell phones and they have smart phones and they have the technology and the ability to use it. So why not bring it into the classroom where they can use it to make themselves smarter."
The two day program wrapped up Tuesday.
