LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW)—World renowned drummer, Bill Bachman, held a drum clinic at UW-La Crosse, Thursday evening.

During the clinic Bachman showed off his drumming skills and offered students some tips like don't to be self conscious when you're playing, just play and you'll sound better.

UW-L brought him to campus to work with the Screaming Eagles Marching Band during their band camp; they thought it was a good opportunity to invite high school students to inspire them too.

"As an educator you can never do too much to inspire a young musician and show them if they really put their minds to it and practiced really hard they can do anything if they really want to," Tammy Fisher, UW-L Director of Bands said.
