MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A person with knowledge of the decision says the 2014 All-Star Game will be played at Target Field in Minneapolis.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on Tuesday on condition of anonymity because the news has not yet been announced by the Twins or Major League Baseball. The news was first reported by the Star Tribune.
The Twins scheduled a news conference for Wednesday afternoon to make an unspecified "major announcement regarding an upcoming event to be hosted at Target Field," which opened in 2010.
Minnesota last hosted the All-Star game in 1985, at the Metrodome. The 2013 All-Star game is set for Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.
