Sweet Corn Ice Cream a hot commodity at Des Moines Farmer's Market

DES MOINES, Iowa (WXOW) - A couple in Iowa has a recipe for sweet corn ice cream, and it's turning out to be a big hit at the Des Moines Farmer's Market.

It's a pretty easy recipe, too.  Take a couple ears of corn. Microwave the corn before shucking it and removing the kernels. Then you'll need a quart of half-and-half and sweetened condensed milk. Toss the ingredients, along with some salt and cinnamon, into your ice cream maker.  And there you have it! 

A savory sweet corn ice cream. You might expect a grainy tasting treat, but the sweet corn actually blends well to create a delicious ice cream.
