LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Even though it is a holiday, La Crosse County still plans to test its emergency sirens Monday.
On the first Monday of every month, the county tests its emergency sirens between 11-11:30 a.m. Sirens across the county will sound for three minutes as part of the test.
The county will cancel the test if severe weather is forecast during the scheduled test time. The sirens then will be tested the following month.
People are asked not to call 911 for additional information unless there is a need for immediate emergency assistance.
