La Crosse, WI (WXOW)-- A busy day at the UW-La Crosse, as students return to campus. That means about 10,000 more people populating the city.
Half of the students living in dorms moved in Friday, and the other half will arrive Saturday.
To help the process along, move-in teams are ready and waiting to help residents and parents unload and get settled.
One resident assistant says the hope is to make what can be a stressful transition, a little easier.
"I think so far it's good," said Ashley Maitland, an RA. "There is a lot of anxiety and questions, but in a good way. Everyone is excited and excited for their children, that has a lot to do with freshmen. And for returning students, it's excitement, getting ready for the year."
All students should be moved in by the end of the weekend and classes begin Tuesday.
