UW-L upsets #6 North Central

NAPERVILLE, Illinois (WXOW) - UW-La Crosse football opened the season with a long road trip and a long way to go to return to its former prominence. But, a road win over the sixth ranked team in the country would certainly help.

That's exactly what the Eagles got. UW-L upset North Central College on Saturday afternoon 21-17. La Crosse had a +5 turnover ratio in the win, including a 4th quarter interception by Jacob Flegner returned for a touchdown to give them the lead once and for all.

Eagles hit the road with their 1-0 record following short week of practice. They play at Northern Michigan on Thursday.
