ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- This weekend, our local Goodwill stores and News 19 are teaming up for a donation drive designed to benefit our local community in a number of ways.
Each day, thousands of items are donated, but some cannot be resold.
The clothing maybe outdated, stained or torn.
Instead of being thrown in a landfill, the usable fabric is now being transformed into one of a kind new clothing.
The fashion forward program is called Goods Made Good.
Items are sent to a facility in Menasha, WI where fashionistas design, combine, and sew multiple items together to create new bags, outfits and pillows.
The items are only available online and also at stores in the Fox Valley.

The Goodwill Donation Drive is Sept. 7-9, 2012 at the La Crosse and Onalaska locations.
