Onalaska, WISCONSIN (WXOW) Onalaska volleyball hopes it's fast start is a sign of things to come down the road.
The Hilltoppers made it a perfect 4-0 in the MVC with last night's three-game sweep over defending co-champ Sparta.
Head coach Megan Swiggum is in her 5th year as head coach.
She could see the success coming.
She started a youth program when she took the head coaching job.
This year's seniors are the first senior class to benefit from that program.
"I told the girls to expect to be on the top. We knew the games were going to be tough and there's still going to be more tough games. The girls know that. I was confident in them and they were confident because of that," Swiggum said.
"Probably our chemistry on our team, we all get along really well. In the past years there's been a little drama, not too much. But we just all get along really well. We're really good friends and it helps on the court," said junior Courtney Meyer.
Another big test comes Thursday night when Onalaska travels to Aquinas, the other undefeated team in the MVC.
