LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - An estimated 500 members of the region's Hispanic community made a special trip September 8.
They made what's called a "pilgrimage," or religious trip, to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in La Crosse in order to celebrate their cultural traditions, their community, and their faith.
The festivities included a pig roast, a mariachi band, and a special mass.
The event was sponsored and organized by the Catholic Diocese of La Crosse.
