MADISON (WKOW)-- Mike Markuson is gone as the offensive line coach for the University of Wisconsin football team.
A source close to the UW football program told the Wisconsin State Journal Sunday night that Bart Miller, who works as the quality control coach on offense, will most likely take over the duties as offensive line coach. Markuson was only on staff for two games. The State Journal said the problems escalated when the Badgers lost 10-7 to Oregon State on Saturday, when they had issues in the running game and in pass protection.
Markuson came to UW after coaching offensive lines in the Southeastern Conference for 14 years. He was called in to replace Bob Bostad, who was regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in college football.
