ARGYLE, Wisconsin (WKOW) -- The mother whose three young boys were killed in a fire in Argyle has lost her unborn child, according to her sister. Amy Peterson tells WKOW that her sister, Sharon Wand was four months pregnant.
On Sunday, the state attorney general's office announced the
child's father and Wand's husband,
Armin Wand, was booked into the Lafayette County Jail facing a tentative felony charge of Arson of a Building with Intent to Defraud. His 18-year-old brother, Jeremy L. Wand, also of Argyle, faces the same charge.
The Argyle-Adams Fire Department responded to the house fire at 3:10 a.m. Friday, at 402 Oak Street in the Village of Argyle.
The three boys -- 7-year-old Allen, 5-year-old Jeffrey and 3-year-old Joseph -- were killed in the fire.
Peterson says that she had been with Wand at UW Hospital before he was taken into custody.
Peterson says, "He's not really talkative and he's just sort of been closed up -- he's just been pretty much hanging his head," she says.
Armin and Sharon Wand's two-year-old daughter is out of the hospital and doing okay. Peterson says her sister, Sharon, remains hospitalized.
An investigation is being conducted by the Village of Argyle Police Department, Lafayette County Sheriff's Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
A fund has been set up to help with burial expenses for the children and medical expenses for Sharon.
