
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Health officials have confirmed a case of West Nile virus in Olmsted County.
According to Olmsted County Public Health Services, a middle-aged person contracted "West Nile Fever."
We're told this is a milder form of West Nile. Health officials say the person likely contracted the virus while visiting Ohio or Michigan.
The West Nile case is the first in Olmsted County since 2003. Two cases were reported in the county in 2003, including one death.
