Applefest in La Crescent

LA CRESCENT, Minnesota (WXOW) - The 64th annual Applefest in La Crescent got underway Thursday.

La Crescent bills itself as the "Apple Capital of Minnesota".

Visitors to the fest grounds can find everything from rides to games to food-apples, too, of course.

Much of the festival,  as you can imagine, has an apple theme.

Applefest runs through Sunday with the King Apple parade that afternoon.
