Hi. I'm State Senator Jennifer Shilling. It has been an honor to represent western Wisconsin in the State Legislature and I hope to earn your support again this year.
Our state faces many important challenges, and we need leaders who will work to restore trust, rebuild relationships, and refocus our attention to the important issues at hand.
Creating jobs and encouraging economic development continue to be my top priorities. We need to expand access to worker training programs in order to reduce unemployment and close the skills gap that is preventing businesses from hiring new workers.
As a mother with two young children, I also understand the importance of keeping our commitment to providing quality educational opportunities. From K-12 to our Technical College and UW System schools, we need to prepare our children and young adults with the skills they need to compete in a global economy.
Most importantly, we need to make sure that we balance the budget fairly and invest in our future.
With your support, I will continue to stand up for our shared values, serve our community, and work across the aisle to move our state forward.
