Candidates and Issues - WXOW - WI - State House 94 - Bruce Evers

Bruce Evers

Candidate Statement

Hello, my name is Bruce Evers. I'm running for the 94th Assembly seat.  I'm a small business owner with 42 years of financial and business experience.  And like most people today, have a fear for the direction of our state and country.  As a social and fiscal conservative, I believe it is time to reign in the scope of government intrusion in our lives. Our country was founded on the idea of personal liberties, where we can achieve our dreams with ideas and hard work. After all, we are a nation of dreamers and achievers. I believe we must get back to the fundamental ideas that we can be participants in the greatest experiment ever conceived. We as Americans, always find a way to move our dreams to the realities of the future.  We do build it.  I ask for your support on November 6th and will represent all the constituents of the 94th as we move Wisconsin forward for generations to follow. It is after all, our responsibility.  Thank you.  Again, my name is Bruce Evers. Please vote on November 6th.  Thank you.

My name is Bruce F. Evers.  I was born and raised in northern Wisconsin and had the basic life principles instilled in me from the early years.  My mom and dad grew up through the depression and war years and taught me the value of family, faith, honesty, hard work and integrity.

After high school I left home, joined the military and married the best friend (and still is) I have ever known.  We have a wonderful son and along with his wife and our 6 grandchildren live at our family farm in Crawford County Wisconsin.  My wife and I still work hard to reach our goals and at the same time help others meet theirs.

My financial career started in 1970 when my mentor hired me to work in a bank.  Under his guidance I learned the banking industry and went on to become President of two banks in the State of Wisconsin.  During those banking years I attended night school with emphasis on banking and later went on to teach those same banking courses to young bankers. I spent 3 years as Chief of Business Development of a National Mortgage Company.  That company was a HUD certified multi-family loan underwriter whose average loan was over $6mm.  After 24 years in the banking and mortgage industry, I moved to a new career in the insurance field.  I was a territory manager for a company that conducted business in all the insurance related products.

Today I own a financial services company that allows me to utilize my 42 years of experience to assist pre-retired and retired people with protecting and growing their lifelong acquired investments.  I not only enjoy what I do, it has become a passion.  Helping people make well informed decisions regarding their money is a privilege and one I do not take lightly.
