LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- Funeral services have been set for 56-year old Paul Petras' and his 19-year old son A. J. Petras'.
Police say both were shot and killed inside their family owned business, May's photo, on Saturday.
Authorities say Paul's wife discovered the bodies.
The funeral service is set for this Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in La Crosse.
The address of the church is 4141 Mormon Coulee Road.
A memorial bank account has been set up at GECU under the name "AJ Memorial."
The account will take anonymous or public donations.
The hope is to establish a bench at MT. La Crosse and Pettibone Boat Club in his name.
Here is the flyer that is being handed-out by a friend:
Many of us have known AJ for many years and some for just a short period of time. Either way he has touched our lives and has given us memories that we will never forgot.
In the recent tragedy that has struck our community, it is time for everyone to come together to keep AJ's spirit alive.
AJ enjoyed being on the river as many days as he could when the weather allowed him to and when the boat was put away he brought out his snowboard and could be found at Mt. La Crosse almost every day.
There has been a Memorial Bank Account set up at GECU (Governmental Employee Credit Union) under the name AJ Memorial. This account has been set up for anonymous donations or public donations in his name so we can have a bench established at Mt. La Crosse and Pettibone Boat Club in his name. We all know these were two things AJ loved very much.
This is a loss that no family or friend deserved to endure and I ask that we come together as a community once again to keep Aj's Spirit going strong.
There has been a Facebook group made in this cause as well. Any questions please refer them to the group.
