ONALASKA, WISCONSIN (WXOW)-- A new poll shows former Gov. Tommy Thompson now trailing Democrat Rep. Tammy Baldwin in the race for U.S. Senate.
Wednesday, Thompson visited the J. B. White company in Onalaska to talk about his plan to create jobs.
Thompson also addressed the numbers in that Marquette poll, saying the new numbers don't concern him.
"We had a very spirited primary and we of course used all of our resources in that primary," Thompson said. "So we had to take a hiatus and go out and raise new funds and now we are up on television and you will see the changes reflected in the next polls."
The winner of the contest between Thompson and Baldwin will fill the seat currently held by retiring Democrat Senator Herb Kohl.
