Paul Ryan says Romney will win the race

WASHINGTON D.C. (WXOW) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan says the GOP campaign has made some mistakes, but says he stands by his running mate, Mitt Romney.

Ryan spoke on "Fox News Sunday" saying they'll win the race despite some setbacks.

"We've had some missteps, but at the end of the day, the choice is really clear and we're giving people a very clear choice," Ryan said. "We have these pro-growth solutions for opportunity and upward mobility and a dynamic economy. You've got the president promising basically four more years like the last four years of stagnation, of dependency."

Ryan says he doesn't think the first presidential debate on Wednesday night will make or break their campaign. He expects the race to be close until election day, which is November 6.
