Undated (WXOW) - A solution may be in the works for people who are allergic to cow's milk.
According to an article on Health.com, scientists have found that milk produced from a genetically modified calf does not contain BLG.
That is the protein that is believed to trigger allergies.
The experiment is detailed in a paper published today in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Scientists say it's the first time they have altered milk's protein composition before it leaves the cow.
