La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW) The Mississippi Valley Conference could be adding another school in the near future.
The MVC and Prairie du Chien are discussing the possibility of the school joining the now 7-team conference.
In fact, conference officials and PdC High School officials will meet with the WIAA Wednesday.
Talks are in the very early stages right now according to MVC Commissioner Terry Erickson.
Erickson told News 19 that he thinks PdC High School would be a nice fit and would be very competitive with MVC schools.
The school has an enrollment of roughly 400, which would make them the second smallest school in the MVC if it were to join.
They currently compete in the Southwest Athletic League.
Erickson said if Prairie du Chien does join the MVC it won't be until the fall of 2014 or 2015.
