MILWAUKEE (WXOW) -- The Marquette Law School is out with its latest poll focusing on the Wisconsin races for president and U.S. Senate.
The new poll, released Wednesday, finds Rep. Tammy Baldwin is still leading former Governor Tommy Thompson in the race for retiring Herb Kohl's U.S. Senate seat, 48 percent to 44 percent. In a poll released two weeks ago, Baldwin lead Thompson 50 percent to 41 percent.
The new poll also shows President Barack Obama with an 11-point lead over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, 53 percent to 42 percent. In the September 19 poll, Obama lead Romney 54-40 percent. An August poll showed the president again leading over Romney.
The poll of 894 likely voters was done September 27-30. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
