SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Monroe County Sheriff's Department identifies the woman found in September inside a burning car in a rural part of the county.
Sheriff Pete Quirin says the woman was identified through DNA analysis as Karen Koca, 33, of New Lisbon. The State Crime Laboratory made the identification according to Sheriff Quirin.
He adds that the they're still haven't determined what killed Koca.
Her body was found inside a burning car off of County Highway T in the Town of Ridgeville near Norwalk on September 18th, roughly 20 miles from her home.
The car Koca was found in belonged to a Minnesota man who told investigators he had not reported it as stolen or missing.
Sheriff's Department investigators, along with the State's Division of Criminal Investigation and Crime Laboratory, continue to look into the case.
