Gov. Walker to hold small business summit in La Crosse

MADISON (WXOW) – Governor Scott Walker will host a summit for small business owners in November in La Crosse.

Walker said the goal of the summit is to improve the relationship between the state government and small businesses.  Walker plans to bring Lt. Gov. Kleefisch and members of his cabinet to the event to interact with the business people.

The first small business summit was held last year in Green Bay.  The summit this year will be held November 8 in La Crosse.

Registration for the event is open at www.wheda.com.

On Friday, reacting to national unemployment figures, Walker commented that the sluggish job growth in the state was due in part to the contentious recall election earlier this year.
