Grassfire between Holmen and West Salem

HOLMEN, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A grassfire between Holmen and West Salem gives firefighters plenty of work Monday afternoon.

The fire was along County Highway M near Shefelbine's Orchard.

According to fire crews, the flames are out, and they're working to take care of any hot spots in the area.

Windy conditions pushed the fire near a forested area, but quick work by fire crews kept it from spreading into the tree line.
