LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Three robberies in the past year leaves La Crosse's Brookstone Inn out hundreds of dollars.
"We got video cameras everywhere, so I don't know what makes them think that they can get away from that," said Brenda Hansen, Brookstone Inn general manager.
Hansen said now the hotel is paying for more security cameras.
"We've taken steps that we're actually going to install more cameras," Hansen said. "We're gonna put them in more areas and places more like a waist level so we can see more of a clear face."
On Sept. 30, cameras captured a ceiling-high view of a man robbing the Brookstone Inn's front desk at gun point.
Staff said he took about $250 dollars and fled.
Since the robber wore a baseball cap and a hood, cameras could not capture his face.
Brookstone Inn's corporation member Lal Patel said that system needs to change.
"All the cameras, we're gonna put in, you know, new," Patel said. "Which, unfortunate for us, we're gonna have to do it, but that's to protect ourself and then the customer."
"It scares me. I'm concerned for the safety of our guests, and it concerns me that this violence goes on in this area," Hansen said.
The robber is still at large.
Staff is adding multiple cameras in the coming weeks and hopes it stops him and any others from coming in again.
