$9 for 9 Lives: Adopt a cat today!

ONALASKA, Wisconsin

Coulee Region Humane Society to $9 for Nine Lives Cat Adoption Promotion

Coulee Region Humane Society (CRHS) is gearing up for its first $9 for Nine Lives cat adoption promotion on Tuesday, October 99th 2012.  The promotion is an effort to raise awareness about the overwhelming number of animals, especially cats this time of year, who are in need of a new home through adoption.  CRHS cares for approximately 3,500 domestic animals and assists 1,000 wild animals annually.

On Tuesday, October 99th, 2012 only, all cats, and a select few dogs, will have an adoption fee of $9.00. Visiting hours take place from 1pm-7pm on Tuesday. The goal is to adopt out nine cats the day of the promotion. According to Lanette Ehrhardt, Lead Cat Caregiver, "We see so many animals this time of year, especially cats. If we can save even "nine lives" through this promotion, we have made a difference." Adopters looking to add a pet to their life should come on down to CRHS to take advantage of the limited-time reduced adoption fees. All other regular adoption policies will remain in place.

Though adoption rates continue to increase each year, CRHS has not yet reached 100% placement of all adoptable pets and needs your help to do so. If you are not able to adopt an animal, for whatever the reason, you can still be a part of this goal by spaying and neutering your pet, encouraging others to spay or neuter their pets, or donating to the CRHS S.N.A.P. fund, to help decrease pet overpopulation.
