LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) The incumbent and challenger for Wisconsin's 94th Assembly seat debated at the UW-La Crosse.
Democrat Steve Doyle holds that seat now. Republican Bruce Evers is challenging Doyle. Among the issues discussed, what each man would do first in Madison if they're successful.
Doyle says, he would continue doing what he promised to do - work across the political aisle. He says what people tell him is that they want democrats and republicans to work together. He says he wants to continue to strike a tone of civility.
Evers says what he hears all the time is that lawmakers need to keep their focus and their eyes on the ball. He says the goal is making the best decisions lawmakers can for the citizens of the great state of Wisconsin.
Also debating, Republican Wisconsin 96th District Assembly incumbent Lee Nerison and challenger, Democrat Tom Johnson.
