Ticket information for VP Biden visit


LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Obama campaign is releasing more details, including how to get tickets, on the visit to La Crosse Friday by Vice-President Joe Biden.

He's speaking at a rally at Cartwright Center on the UW-La Crosse campus.

While the event is open to the public, tickets are needed to get in.

The Obama campaign said that one ticket per person will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis at two locations in La Crosse.

Tickets can be picked up starting at 5pm Wednesday afternoon at:

Democratic Headquarters, 116 S. Fifth Ave., downtown La Crosse

Cartwright Center at the Information Desk.  The address is 1725 S. State St. in La Crosse.

The La Crosse Democratic Party headquarters continued handing out tickets until 9 p.m. Thursday.

There's no count on how many tickets are available. A crowd of several thousand is expected.

Headquarters will resume heading out tickets at 8 a.m. Thursday and continue until 9 p.m.

The doors to Cartwright are scheduled to open Friday starting at 11:30 p.m.  The Vice President is expected to speak sometime in the early afternoon.
